31 May Meet the Team
Meet the dedicated Wild Goat Events Team. Our combined experience gives us the skills we need to bring together Byron Bay’s most elegant and exclusive weddings and events. We have travelled the world and brought back ideas that will transform your event into something spectacular.
Founding Chief Executive Officer Perfectionist + Global Nomad + Event Queen
You can take the girl out of Byron, but you can’t take Byron out of the girl – and before long, she’ll be back in the place she holds most dear. That’s what happened for Wild Goat Events’ director, Katie.
A Byron girl born and raised, Katie knows the town like no other: what beaches to surf, what Cafes to frequent, and where the best ocean views are away from the madding crowd. But it wasn’t long before wanderlust captured her heart, and so she travelled the world to discover what the rest of the world calls a celebration. So, armed with her degree in International Business (majoring in Logistics and Supply Network Management), she set off. 10 years, 25 countries and six continents later, she found it out first hand.
There was time aboard a private Sunseeker yacht, creating luxurious, exclusive experiences for guests seeking adventure on the Mediterranean Sea.
There were months in Nepal, coordinating treks among the wilderness for thrill seekers craving a new sense of culture.
There were the two six-month stints exploring Brazil, soaking up the locals’ vivacious energy and lust for life. Here, she gained the affectionate nickname Quase Brasileira (‘almost Brazilian’) and fell head over heels in love with the culture and language (she speaks fabulous Portuguese, FYI).
Finally, there was the year in the red city of Marrakech, crafting high-end events throughout Morocco, working for one of the world’s most prestigious destination wedding event companies in coordinating lavish parties lasting for days.
And then, Katie came back – armed with global inspiration, experience in droves, and a passion for the town she always called home. Her eye for detail (and a streak of the perfectionist, she’ll admit) make her events coveted by corporate clients and couples alike. A quick look in her little black book of local vendors shows she knows who will make your event as perfect as can be. Your event is in the best of hands – hands holding the key to one of Byron Bay’s most exclusive locations.
What else? She’s bubbly, she’s passionate and you’ve never met anyone more organised. But above all, she’s fun – and she’ll make sure your event is just as fun as it is exquisite.

Studying psychology gives Chloe all the ins and outs of what makes a person tick, so who better to have managing the Wild Goat Events office? She’s a level-headed lady, unruffled by whatever’s thrown her way, tackling it all with her signature feminine style. PS, she’s a little OCD – another reason why we think she’s the best PA meets office manager meets client liason ever.

After spending her childhood in Currumbin, Yasmin moved to Byron Bay almost ten years ago –she’s felt at home here ever since. And who can blame her? A self-confessed ocean lover, Yasmin’s often found on the beach soaking up some sunshine… or on the Mediterranean coast. Yep, this girl’s got the nomad in her, travelling through six continents, seeking out the unique things in life. She’s always up for a challenge and a laugh, which is a pretty great thing to have when you’re planning events down to the tiniest detail. Our resident wizard of light bulb moments, Yasmin’s creative mind is always dreaming up something new and gorgeous.

You know the saying ‘good things come in small packages’, well that’s our Mali down to a tee! She’s just returned home sweet home, from years spent working onboard the worlds most prestigious (and over the top luxurious) superyachts. We couldn’t think of anyone better to compliment our early riser crew, adding some extra finesse to our signature ‘Toast the Sun’ breakfast series. Our very own little cupid, Mali is also a legally registered marriage celebrant, filling in her days solemnising wedding and blessing ceremonies for happy couples all over the Byron Shire and beyond.
Creator of Happiness Passionate + Water Baby + Flower Child
A Byron Bay girl at heart, Kelsey’s heart is in the ocean, spending time in one of Byron Bay’s most beautiful (and famous) spaces. Her passion for the ocean (she’s just earned her Bachelor of Marine Science and Management) is only rivaled by her love for the pretty things in life. So it makes sense that she’s part of the Wild Goat Events team – who wouldn’t want to create beautiful events while the ocean ebbs and flows in the background?
